Nurses provide personal, one-on-one care. They are trained to perform specific and skilled care such as administering medication and intravenous therapy, caring for wounds, helping with pain management, foot and nail care services at your home, physiotherapy services, as well as care after surgery or care of a chronic or terminal illness.
Personal support workers provide care and emotional support to people who are ill, elderly or need help with activities of daily living like toileting, changing, dressing, and feeding.
Homemakers help individuals who are not able to perform their day-to-day household duties. Services can include light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, escort services and preparing meals.
Trained caregivers spend time with you or your loved one to ensure safety and security in the home. Companions also offer a friendly face. They also decrease isolation. It also helps decrease clients’ feelings of isolation and helps decrease stress and worry for family and caregivers.
GEM is authorized to offer vaccination (flu vaccine) clinics in commercial and institutional settings.
